A rooftop nursery above a hardware shop on E. Lopez Street. We grow herbs, vines and shade plants in recycled pots, keep a small seed library that anyone can borrow from, and open the roof to visitors on Saturdays.

Stock changes every week. Prices are for pick-up on the roof; we do not ship.
Visiting
Open hours
Saturdays, 8:00 to 11:30 in the morning. Closed when it is raining hard, since the stairs get slippery.
Weekday visits by message only, usually Wednesday afternoons.
Finding the stairs
E. Lopez Street, Jaro, two doors from the plaza side of the church. The stairway is beside the hardware shop, painted green. Ring the bell at the gate.
Bring your own bag or box. We reuse pots, so returns of empty pots are welcome.
Seed library
A cabinet of labelled envelopes: okra, sitaw, ampalaya, kangkong, upo, marigold, sunflower and whatever visitors have brought back. Take an envelope, grow it, and return some seed at the end of the season if it went well.
- Two envelopes per person per visit.
- Write the date and the barangay you grew it in on the return envelope.
- No hybrids please, they do not come back true.
Questions people ask
Do you deliver?
No. Everything is pick-up from the roof on Saturday morning. Plants travel badly in a courier van in this heat.
Can I reserve a plant?
Send a message with the plant name and we will keep it aside until the next Saturday. After that it goes back on the shelf.
Do you take cuttings from visitors?
Yes, especially herbs and vines. We will trade a cutting for a seedling of similar size if it is something we do not already have.
Is the roof safe for children?
There is a railing all the way around and the stairs are enclosed, but please keep small children with you. The water tank corner is roped off.
